So this is the thing, we are going to offer early buying to 2 parties of 2. For our May show. So that would be for Friday May 13th in Snohomish for our 1 year anniversary.
You and a friend will be able to come into the secret realm of 2sat set up Friday and shop to your hearts content. First choice at anything that you see being brought in. You can come as early as noon and stay the whole afternoon, evening or come and go or what ever suits you little junk loving heart. We will offer libation and poo poos and some itsy bitsy gifts and trinkets.
I can tell you, there is no show that is not at it's most fun the day of set up. I totally love set up days.
Just tell us a favorite junking story, or about a best find or about a junk store that you love. And we will number the comments as they come in and pick 2 outa a hat. We will combine the comments we get here with any that we get on Facebook, let the wild rumpus begin!
Deb will love this idea, now who is gonna tell her?

What a wonderful contest! My favorite "junk" store is our local salvage store (in Bellingham) the ReStore. There is also a ReStore in Ballard for those of you in Seattle. You never know what gem you may come home with... some are even FREE!

ReplyDeletewas in Snohomish last week (my favorite junking locale!) when I spotted the same little wooden purse my grandma gave me 35+ years ago...regret not buying it and hoping it's there when I return to Snohomish for Second Saturdayz in May!
ReplyDeleteMy fav junk find a old wooden window I transformed into to flower box!!
ReplyDeleteOkay, best find ever was an old work bench I got on craigslist for free. Sold it for $675.00 (after a lot of work was done on it though). I also bought a pair of lovely drapes at a rummage sale for a dollar and sold them on ebay for $113.00. I will be up there for the sale and would love to come Friday while my family is at a concert at Key Arena.Pick me!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Lisa
Pick me!! Pick me!!!
ReplyDeleteYou already know you are my favorite spot to find treasures- I never leave without something fabulous! And, seeing as I am renovating a space to have my very own studio - I NEED to find lots of fabulous finds!
Crossing fingers,
xx
What a fun idea! My favorite find is a sweet little, wooden bookshelf with scalloped edges my mom bought with my grandmother at a thrift store when we I was in elementary school. She still has it, and I still love it!
ReplyDeleteWhile racing for the bathroom my sister, mom and I spied a taxidermed ocelott at the Midway flea market. While peeing, we argued over who got to buy it IF it was affordable and had not been snatched up. My mom ended up buying it for my sister Jos birthday gift. I have ocelott envy every time I am at her house. We both love your events. Pick us!!
ReplyDeleteLast summer my friend and I were on our way to a plant sale, but about a block from the sale we came upon a distressed farm table with 3 matching chairs on the sidewalk with a "FREE" sign. Needless-to-say, we stopped to take a look. It was in great condition and somehow we managed to get it all in my car & we still had room for plants & junk bought at Bountiful Homes 1st "Junkarama". That table is now in my dining room, I adore it!
ReplyDeleteoh, that's a good one...;) deb
ReplyDeleteAlthough I cannot win-I want to play! A few years ago on the way to a sale,I saw a free metal chair-looked good-picked it up! . Sold said chair to my friend for 25.00. Friend sold it at Fremont Sunday market for 75.00. Saw the EXACT chair the following week on the cover of a design magazine-it was worth approx. 1,000.00. I think everyone on that find!!
ReplyDeleteI love shopping in Monroe at M&M Antiques. I found a beautiful french 6 foot tall metal and glass terrarium for $100. It's a jaw dropper.

How fun would this be! I'd be sooooo thrilled to win. Please throw me into the hat too...
ReplyDeleteFavorite junk find?? Whew.... that's a tough one. My home is FULL of "favorite" junk finds, but probably my favorite would be my sofa... forty bucks at a church rummage sale.... slipcovered in yummy white matlasse now with a new down cushion.
Blessings,
Spencer
Please pick me to go shopping! I would love to be an early bird!
ReplyDeleteI love everything I find at 2nd saturdayz, but my favorite find was my dress form lady on steel wheels.....I put her in my family room and she looks so cute!
I LOVE second saturdayz! I haven't missed one since they started! I have too many favorite finds to pick just ONE, I've gotten furniture, a 15 ft white picket fence, throw blankets, and lots of vintage clothing. I'm NEVER disappointed!! PICK ME!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite finds was two gates I bought for a couple of dollars at a g-sale. They ended up being a feature in our garden. My son called them the"gates to hell" as a joke. I also love M&M in Monroe. great prices!! I come to 2nd Saturday whenever I can but I usually have to work on Saturdays...The one in Snohomish will be close to me in Marysville. Where in Snohomish are you going to be?
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite finds was at the Red Barn in Round Top. After freezing outside waiting for it to open, I was rewarded by a vendor with nothing but vintage buttons. These had been on the shelf of a store that closed its doors in the early 60's and were just recently discovered. All brand new and still on the cards.
ReplyDeletePlease Enter me in the drawing,
Thanks,
Yvonne.
I do not have a favorite junking place but I like to treasure hunt for what ever is on my mind and comes up while hunting!! Pick me Pick me!
ReplyDeleteI love all the "junk" stores! Digging for the special treasure. I come by it naturally, my dad is a great treasure hunter and I have the same love of the find! Looking forward to the "saturdays"!
ReplyDeleteTo not be a hinder to other drivers on the road, due to hysteria/anxiousness/white knuckle syndrome, etc. I do not drive any further south on the freeway than Everett. A year ago it was south Everett, now its the middle of Everett. No doubt this time next year it will be north Everett. Soon I will be a shut-in, actually, the Smokey Pt. area isn't exactly a walk in the park. What I'm trying to say, this is my chance to visit the most talked about fantastic, wonderful show in my (almost) area! I'm even okay with a pity win. TIA:)
ReplyDelete~~~Dona
